The Swarnagiri Temple sits on Manepally Hills, near Bhuvanagiri in Telangana, about thirty five kilometers from Hyderabad. The city is behind you. The highway is wide. The hills rise. The temple is new. It was consecrated in 2024. The stone is not worn smooth by centuries of feet. The gold is new. But the devotion is not new. The temple is built in the style of Tirumala. The gopuram is tall. The pillars are carved. The idol of Lord Venkateswara is twelve feet high. The name Swarnagiri means golden hill. The sun sets behind the hill. The gold reflects. The glare is bright. The devotion is brighter.
The temple was built by the Manepally family. The story is not of kings. It is of a family. In 2016, a family member survived a serious accident. They believed it was the grace of Lord Venkateswara. They vowed to build a temple. The construction started in 2018. It took seven years. The temple opened in 2024. The doors are new. The faith is old.

A Final Word for First Time Visitors
The Swarnagiri Temple is new. The stone is clean. The paint is fresh. But the deity is not new. Lord Venkateswara is the same as in Tirumala. The same dark stone. The same calm expression. The same outstretched hand. The temple is not a copy. It is an echo. The hill is not as high. The crowd is not as large. The wait is not as long. But the darshan is the same. Stand before the twelve foot idol. The eyes will meet yours. The hand will bless you. That is the promise of Swarnagiri. Not age. Presence.
