The Srikalahasti Temple is not like other Shiva temples. It is the Vayu Lingam, one of the five Pancha Bhoota Sthalas, representing the element of air. The festival lasts thirteen days. Each day has its own rituals. On 10 February 2026, the Bhakta Kannappa Deeksha Vidharanam and Ankurarpana are from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM. On 11 February, Dwajarohanam is from 6:00 AM to 7:00 AM. Vendi Ambari Vahana Seva is at 8:00 AM and again at 8:00 PM.
On 12 February, Surya Prabha or Chappara Vahanam is from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Bhootha Shuka Vahanam is at 8:00 PM. On 13 February, Hamsa or Yali Vahanam is from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Mayura Vahanam is at 8:00 PM. On 14 February, Hamsa or Chiluka Vahanam is from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Ashwa or Simha Vahanam is at 9:00 PM.
On 15 February, Maha Shivaratri, Nandi Seva begins the day. The Maha Shivaratri Tithi runs from 8:30 PM to 6:46 AM on 16 February. The Nishita Kaal Puja is from 11:55 PM to 12:56 AM. On 16 February, Rathotsavam is from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Teppotsavam is from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM. On 17 February, Sri Swamy Kalyanotsavam is from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
From 18 February to 21 February, daily vahana sevas are held in the morning and evening. On 22 February, Shayanotsavam or Ekantha Seva is in the evening. On 23 February, Shanti Abhishekam and Brahmotsavam Samapti are from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM.
The Nishita Kaal Puja at midnight is the most powerful. The temple stays open. The abhishekam is performed. The mantras are chanted. The devotees are packed. The energy is high.
Abhishekam and Darshan Timings for 2026
The regular temple timings are from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM. During Brahmotsavam, the timings are extended. Morning abhishekam runs from 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Evening abhishekam runs from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
On Maha Shivaratri night, the temple stays open all night. There is no VIP darshan on 15 February. The temple administration has decided to suspend VIP passes to allow equal access for all devotees. Abhishekam and Seva Prices for 2026
Rudrabhishekam costs between ₹301 and ₹2,001. The duration is thirty to forty five minutes. Eeshwara Abhishekam costs between ₹201 and ₹1,000. The duration is twenty to thirty minutes. Sahasra Lingam Abhishekam, performed to one thousand Shiva Lingams, costs between ₹1,001 and ₹5,000. The duration is forty five to sixty minutes. Shodashopachara Seva, a sixteen step traditional worship, costs between ₹501 and ₹2,500. The duration is thirty to forty five minutes.
All bookings must be done online through the official AP Temples portal. There is no offline booking during the festival. The slots fill up quickly. Morning slots are the most sought after. Book at least two weeks in advance.

Visit the official AP Temples website. Navigate to Sevas and Darshanam. Select Pratyaksha Seva if you are attending in person. Select Paroksha Seva if you want the ritual performed on your behalf from a distance. Click Book Now.
Sign in using your registered mobile number and password. New users must complete sign up. Select Srikalahasti Temple from the list. Choose the Abhishekam or Seva you want. Pick your date and time slot. Complete the payment using UPI, debit card, credit card, or net banking. Download the confirmation receipt. On the day of your visit, carry the receipt and a valid photo ID.
Accommodation Near the Temple
Rooms in Srikalahasti fill up quickly during Brahmotsavam. Many devotees choose to stay in Tirupati, about sixty kilometers away. Tirupati has more hotels, guest houses, and lodges. The road connectivity is good. Buses and taxis run regularly.
Book your accommodation at least two to four weeks in advance. During Maha Shivaratri night, the town is packed. Do not expect to find a room on arrival.
How to Reach Srikalahasti
By road, the temple is about sixty kilometers from Tirupati. Buses and taxis are available. New traffic circles on the highways from Chennai, Nellore, and Tirupati have been constructed to manage the crowd.
By train, the nearest station is Srikalahasti Railway Station. Trains from Tirupati and Chennai stop here. By air, the nearest airport is Tirupati Airport, about sixty kilometers from Srikalahasti.
Best Time to Visit During Brahmotsavam
The best time to visit is before 15 February. The crowds on 10 February to 14 February are moderate. The darshan is manageable. The abhishekam slots are available.
